Outlining their acheivements on Council, their plan to cut taxes(no other party made that promise), the stark differences between them and the other candidates, and their goals for 2009, the three incumbent Councilmen were a hit with the audience.

The Republican candidates for the Atlantic County Board of Freeholders and Sheriff today unveiled their website --- www.atlantic2008.com --- where voters can learn their positions on important issues facing the county as well as what steps they will take to address them.

The Alantic County Young Republicans are holding a mixer to support Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain this Wednesday at Chickie & Pete's on the Black Horse Pike in Mays Landing, NJ.

The Italian Preservation Foundation will host a twinning of its hometown, Hammonton, with the small picturesque mountain village of San Gregorio da Sassola, Italy from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 23rd.

The Hammonton Republicans are looking forward to this year's Puerto Rican Civic Association dinner. Hammonton's strong Puerto Rican community represents a major part of our diverse town. Last year's event was a lot of fun, and we look forward to this weekend's sure-to-be exciting dinner.

For the last two years, Hammonton has enjoyed no municipal tax increases. Councilmen Jimmy Bertino, Anthony Marino, and Jerry Vitalo proudly worked for taxpayers and passed both those budgets with the rest of Town Council.
