When Was Hammonton's Last Tax Cut?
For the last two years, Hammonton has enjoyed no municipal tax increases. Councilmen Jimmy Bertino, Anthony Marino, and Jerry Vitalo proudly worked for taxpayers and passed both those budgets with the rest of Town Council. But do you know the last time Town Council gave Hammonton a tax cut? Click on Read More to find out when.
The last time Hammonton taxpayers enjoyed a tax cut was when Republicans held a majority of Council under Mayor Anthony Ingemi. With Mayor Ingemi and Councilman Jimmy Bertino, the Republican Council passed a tax cut for municipal sewer users in 2005!
Councilman Bertino has always fought for Hammonton taxpayers. But over the last two years, Republicans have not held a majority on council. Councilman Bertino, along with Councilmen Marino and Vitalo DID cut all their department's budgets for the last two years, giving Hammonton the ability to keep taxes stable. In order to keep Hammonton's budget not only trimmed, but sound, Republicans MUST retain their seats this year!
This November, its up to you to reelect Councilmen Bertino, Marino, and Vitalo so they can continue to keep sound budgets, and get a Republican Majority back on Town Council within two years so Hammonton can keep enjoying low taxes and great town services.
